1. Foot Patrol x BEAMS x Saucony Shadow 8000 “Only in Tokyo”
Price: $233 AUD
Purchase from: Saucony retailers, Premier.
Sneaker retailer Footpatrol saw huge success with the Shadow 6000, more commonly known as the “Only in Soho”. It was the first collaborative project with sportswear brand, Saucony, and now they’re back with another exciting release. Japanese retail store BEAMS have also joined the party for this eagerly anticipated triple collaboration. It’s not often we see three giants of the fashion industry team up and the end result is nothing short of tidy.
These sneakers have been crafted with an off white, premium suede upper with a woven BEAMS underlay to the toe area, sidewalls and heel. A splash of vibrant orange detailing can be found on the lacing system, heel and toe box. To finish the pair, a flip logo celebrates the collaboration with branding for both BEAMS and Saucony.
Complementing the footwear, a four piece collection includes t shirts, track pants and a hood. With the same colour palette, the tracksuit takes a beige colour way and displays orange accents throughout. Impressive detail can be found on the elbow patches, which resemble the shape of a sneaker sole whilst a coloured drawstring on the hood celebrates the unique style of the sneakers.
It’s never easy to secure yourself a pair of sneakers that have a lot of hype around them, especially in your size. Fortunately though for sneaker heads worldwide the Foot Patrol x BEAMS x Saucony Shadow 8000 “Only in Tokyo” will have a second release on the 9th of January. For those chasing the complete look the entire “Only in Tokyo” collection is due out November 28.
2. Nike Flyknit Racer Retro “Oreo” 1.0 Restock
Price: $219 AUD
Purchase from: Select Nike retailers, BAIT, Finish line and Running Warehouse.
For those who froth Flynit’s its time to pay attention as you’re in for some tasty news.
Nike has decided to restock the OG Nike Flyknit Racer “Oreo”, with select stores throughout the world getting their hands on as many pairs as possible. With the Flyknit Racer “Oreo” 2.0 recently dropping more and more Racers have been spotted around Melbourne, but for those die hard Flyknit fans the 2.0 doesn’t not compare to the 1.0 version.
The “Oreo” 1.0 Retro, also known as the “Cookies & Cream”, is constructed with a predominantly black and white knit upper, resting atop the brand’s Air Zoom cushioned sole. These sneakers are finished off with Volt hints that weren’t in the original “Oreo” iteration. For those wanting to know how each sneaker will differ from the other, the original Flyknit Racer “Oreo’” will mix more white through the Flyknit compared to the 2.0 edition.
For those that already own the 2.0’s this drop may seem meaningless. Yet for those die hard Flyknit fans this is a brilliant way to start the New Year. If you have nothing but love for the OG “Oreos” make sure you keep posted on where to score these highly anticipated sneakers from!
3. Adidas EQT 3/3F15 Primeknit Pack
Price: $234 AUD
Purchase from: Select Adidas retailers, Hanon, Foot Patrol.
Following up and adding to last year’s huge releases, adidas have unleashed the fourth and final drop of the EQT F15 collection in the form of two Primeknit models.
Utilising the brands digitally-knitted Primeknit fabric, the unique material is fully breathable, flexible and moves with your foot allowing a perfect fit
The adidas Original EQT 3/3 is styled in the OG colour way of the Adidas Equipment Running Support with sub green and core black stretchy Primeknit uppers, clear onix lacing panels, Trefoil debossed heel stabiliser and nylon lace hoops. Built on the adidas Boost sole unit with a visible white Boost midsole and rubber perforated tread.
These sneakers are the perfect blend of adidas Boost and Yohji Yamamoto’s Y-3 aesthetic, as a simple upper with premium leather overlays and chukka-inspired laces creates a memorable casual look with the benefit of full-length Boost cushioning. If you thought it couldn’t get any better you were wrong. The silhouette is getting one more update: Primeknit. The adidas EQT 3/3F15 Primeknit plans on launching in two colour ways; a Black/Grey combination with a Primeknit pattern reminiscent of the Yeezy 350 Boost’s and a pair that adds bolstered brown suede to further the casual sensibilities.
These two EQT versions feature a seamless construction and contrasting Boost soles.
With the EQT silhouette getting a futuristic update you would be silly not to invest in a pair. Coming in two different color schemes, you really can’t go wrong with either pair. Check out the rest of the pack to see which sneaker is your favourite!
